Christmas Sites to See

The magic of Christmas is a time we all look forward to each year.  Even the grumpiest of grumps cannot help but enjoy themselves this time of year.  There really is a spirit of Christmas that becomes tangible though the amazing shows and sites that can be found in each community.   

If you are in or around Johnson County between now and Christmas, there are some awesome sites to see.  Below are a few of our family favorites that won’t disappoint…

1. Christmastime in Texas

Christmastime in Texas is a brand-new holiday light experience. The lighted drive through park is located just a short drive from Fort Worth, Burleson, and Cleburne Texas. The Park is filled with 100s of displays spread out across a mile and a half road. There is also a large section of the park with lights timed to some of your favorite Christmas tunes. 

Hours of Operation: Open daily through New Year’s night from 6 pm – 10 pm

2. Whistle Stop Christmas

Whistle Stop Christmas displays millions of lights every evening at Hulen Park, Johnson County Courthouse & Johnson County Market Square from November 22 to December 31.

Hours of Operation: Open nightly through December 31

3. Christmas on the Farm

The festivities include Christmas craft stations, pictures with a donkey wearing antlers (bring your own camera), and other Christmas-related activities. It’s fun for the whole family!

4. Cowboy Christmas on the Trail

Come experience life on the historic Chisholm Trail at Christmas. Experience TEXAS Living History! Ride on a covered wagon through 5 different scenes and listen to the Legends of Texas re-enact life’s struggles and excitement during Christmas on the Trail. Christmas Shopping, come see Cowboy Claus and more!!
