6 Quarantine Christmas Activities

Let’s face it, Christmas just won’t be the same this year. Many families will be doing their best to enjoy the Holiday season quarantined at home with their immediate family. So we thought we would throw out some great ideas to keep the holly jolly in the Holidays this year.

1. Decorate Christmas Cookies

Kudos to you if this is already a family tradition. And, if the thought of piling into the kitchen with your kiddos and spouse trying to bake some cookies sounds like a terrible time, you have to remember to keep it fun!

For best results, crank up some of your favorite Christmas tunes and sing along while bake. Get out the cookie cutters, sprinkles, icing, and whatever other toppings sound good, and keep it relaxed and casual. Let the kids do it their way and enjoy the messy good time!

2. Christmas Karaoke

Here’s the thing, we all know you belt out those Christmas songs while you alone in the car. You aren’t fooling anyone. So let’s have a good time in the living room with some Christmas Karaoke!

Even if you do not have a karaoke machine or microphone, a wooden spoon or hairbrush makes a great mic!

3. Make Homemade Cards to Send

Let’s get creative! Nothing says “I’m thinking of you” this Holiday season than a homemade card. Take a quick trip to the craft goods store, pick up some fun materials, and make it an afternoon with the kids. They will love it, and those friends and family on the receiving end will love it even more!

4. Host a Virtual Party

Now THIS can be a lot of fun! Depending on how fun your friends are of course. Go ahead and put the kids down early, break out the adult beverages and some snacks, and let’s have a party!

Invite all of your friends to join you online for a virtual party. You can do some fun games, trivia, karaoke, or just chat! It’s a pretty darn good time!

5. Christmas Movie Marathon

Of course we all usually catch one or two of the classic Christmas movies each year, but why not make a day of it?

Keep the pajamas on, pop some popcorn, and get it rolling. This is best enjoyed on a cold and dreary winter day when you can bundle up in some blankets on the couch!

6. Check out Christmas Lights

This list is primarily ideas for those staying home for the Holidays, however, another safe way to enjoy some Christmas Cheer this year is to get the family in the car and drive around to see the lights!

This is an activity fun for the kids, and of course inspiring for the Dad’s.

Regardless of how you choose to enjoy Christmas in this crazy year, we wish you all the best. Stay safe and stay focused on the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of our Savior, Jesus. Merry Christmas!
