Fear vs. Faith

Each day we are all faced with upcoming decisions, appointments, problems, life changes, and many things that are out of our control.  With each of these things pending on our mind it is easy to succumb to fear that they will not work out; especially when they are out of our control.

Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid can be a major source of anxiety.

Anxiety brought on by fear can cause respiratory problems, gastrointestinal disorders, effect the immune system, heart disease, muscle tension, memory loss, and weight gain.

Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.  Having faith that things will work out creates peace of mind.

Peace of mind results in inner peace.  Inner peace offers countless benefits: falling asleep easily at night and sleeping soundly, freedom from stress / anxieties / worries, better concentration ability, a sense of inner strength, efficiency in handling daily tasks, a sense of inner happiness, and clear judgement.

Both fear and faith are feelings about something that has not happened yet.  Each day when faced with life’s madness we can be plagued by the anxiety that comes with fear or we can choose to have faith that brings inner peace. We hope that you choose faith.
